From its 17,847th spot in the July 2024 edition of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, Mindanao State University at Naawan (MSUN) has made a remarkable leap to the 7,826th position in the January 2025 rankings.
Additionally, within the MSU System, MSUN proudly holds the 3rd spot, following MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology (1st) and MSU-Marawi (2nd), further cementing its position as a leading institution in the region.
Webometrics, a global university ranking system developed by the Cybermetrics Lab (CSIC), assesses universities based on their web presence, impact, openness, and research excellence, encouraging institutions to embrace digital visibility and open access to scholarly resources. Published twice a year, the ranking evaluates over 32,000 universities worldwide, providing recognition, especially to institutions in the Global South, and driving academic institutions to enhance their online influence and scholarly engagement.
This achievement is a testament to MSUN’s relentless pursuit of academic excellence, commitment to research and innovation, and dedication to fostering a dynamic and globally competitive learning environment.
With this milestone, MSUN continues to set new benchmarks for progress, further solidifying its place among the country’s most esteemed higher education institutions.
